Unique Features of VisionTally

VisionTally produces actual board measurements while the boards are still inside the bundle. All other methods of obtaining actual board measurements require the boards to be individually measured outside the bundle. All other methods of end-tallying lumber use some form of nominal measurements.

VisionTally scans and measures both ends of a bundle.
Two different sets of data are collected—from the even end and the jagged end. The data sets are compared and analyzed to determine the most accurate measurements for each board in the bundle.

VisionTally automatically detects and performs wane analysis.
Wane is detected on both the even and jagged ends of the board. The synthesis software uses proprietary algorithms to analyze the detected wane and adjust the actual board measurements.

VisionTally does not need personnel attention during the scanning process.
Using VisionTally, lumber is measured and tallied as part of the workflow process. When the command is given to start the scan, VisionTally will automatically complete the scan while production personnel are performing other tasks.

VisionTally is not subject to human errors that are a result of fatigue or lack of concentration. Unlike other tallying methods, there are no tedious, repetitious tasks that need to be performed by specially trained personnel.

VisionTally does not require length marks or special bundle preparation.
Standard, typical bundles of lumber are processed by VisionTally. At the time VisionTally is installed, the using company will specify its own parameters for bundle size and VisionTally operation.
